Review: Maybe This Time by A.M. Arthur

Maybe This Time
Maybe This Time by A.M. Arthur

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ezra and Donner are bent, but not broken, by the painful experiences in their past. Both having built emotional walls to protect themselves from experiencing future pain, what starts as a sexy encounter in a bar quickly develops into mutual attraction.

Letting go of the lessons of their youth and learning to trust again may be an impossible task, but taking that leap of faith could potentially be the best decision either man ever makes.

A well written and developed story, Maybe This Time contains an emotional cast of characters and tackles challenging topics, including homelessness, abuse, discrimination and loss. The emotional impact is intense, the storytelling is believable, and I would recommend this to readers who are looking to be inspired by a story that is more about the journey than the ending. While it can be read as a stand alone novel, it does contain characters from Arthur's previously published work No Such Thing.
