Review: The River Leith by Leta Blake
The River Leith by Leta Blake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The past is what makes a person who they are in the present, but what if the memories of the past are gone? How do you move forward when you can't remember who you are?
Leith lives for boxing; it's the most important thing in his life and defines who he is. At least, that's what he thought, before everything changed. Waking up in the hospital after surviving a horrific blow to the head that could have killed him, Leith has lost all his memories from the past three years. Once confident, outgoing, and driven to succeed, Leith is now uncertain and drifting. His memories are gone, he doesn't recognize his friends, boxing is no longer an option, and he's being handled like a fragile glass globe that could shatter at any moment.
The sad-eyed young man who comes to visit is a stranger to Leith, but something about him tugs at Leith's heart. Zach's scent moves him in ways he doesn't understand, and the unfamiliar desire to protect the fragile-looking bird who hovers just beyond his memory confuses Leith beyond reason.
Zach is devastated when Leith, the love of his life, no longer remembers him. In fact, Leith doesn't even remember that he's gay. Once loved and cherished, Zach now must be strong for the man who used to be his rock. Determined to rekindle their love, Zach is willing to do whatever it takes to win his lover back, but Leith has changed, and Zach must decide if he can let go of his own memories of the man Leith used to be and love who he has become.
THE RIVER LEITH is an exceptionally well-written story about self-discovery. With a complex storyline that slowly builds from the past into the present, I was captivated from the very beginning. Leta Blake weaves a story of love and loss with emotional depth and flawless character development. Delving into the past, while at the same time discovering the future, her characters will take readers on a journey of life, love, and loss that is unique and mesmerizing. With sensual love scenes and tender emotionalism, THE RIVER LEITH is a perfectly balanced romance that will captivate readers' hearts and carry them away on a river of love.

Blog Tour: Opposites Series by T.M. Smith

In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.
In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.
Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

Review: Gear Heart by Hollis Shiloh
Gear Heart by Hollis Shiloh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Heartwarming and imaginative!
Rejected by his family and classified as less than alive by society, Auden has paid a high price for the magical mechanical heart that saved his life after being injured during the war. Just because his heart whirs and ticks instead of beats doesn't make him feel inhuman. Being welcomed into Dr. Gregory's home and accepted as part of the unusual cast of characters that make up their family gives him a measure of contentment. While the strain of supporting his mechanical heart gradually weakens his body, his spirit is still strong.
When a stalker begins threatening Dr. Gregory's life, Auden calls the authorities to help catch the criminal that threatens their peaceful home. Owen, the handsome and kindhearted officer assigned to the case, can't help but draw Auden's eye and make him wish for more than a casual flirtation.
When the pressures of life and love begin to threaten them all, Auden discovers that he isn't as strong as he believed himself to be, and it's Owen who steps up to offer his support. The sexual chemistry between the two men is undeniable, but will the end of the case be the end of their relationship or will Auden get his mechanical heart's desire for more?
A well written and engaging story, Gear Heart is a dystopian romance that captured my heart. The characters are complex, the storyline is detailed, and Hollis once again presents readers with the perfect balance of sweet and sensual story weaving I've come to expect!

Mark Lawler moved from a small town where everyone was "Minnesota Nice" to make his dreams come true in Hollywood. Somewhere along the way he lost himself. Becoming more focused on his image and living the lifestyle that on being true to himself. A popular television star he seems to have the perfect life; a beautiful wife, awesome best friend and is riding a rising star.

Turning to the only friend he has left, a man named Ross from his home town; Mark begins to realize how superficial he has become and it's time to make some hard choices about who he really is.
A well written romance with complex characters, an intricately developed story line, and raw emotional exploration. The Hollywood Version is more than a love story. Review: Needing the Alpha by Liliana Rhodes
Needing the Alpha by Liliana Rhodes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
With engaging characters that have serious spark and capture the imagination, Liliana Rhodes latest and last offering in The Crane Curse Trilogy tells the story of one of my favorite characters. The spunky and outgoing Pinky doesn't think that there is anything special about her, because she isn't a shifter and has no magic.
Rafael is drawn to the pint sized beauty, but every time he tries to get close she shuts him down. Unwilling to give up the woman he's sure is his mate, Rafael continues to take every opportunity available to put himself in Pinky's path.
When tragedy strikes her family, no one is more shocked than Pinky to discover that her father's disappearance is in some way tied to the legendary Crane Curse. Determined to do whatever it takes to bring her father home alive, even if it means working with the distractingly sexy bear.
The mystery is finally solved. An entertaining read with a fun writing style, fast paced storyline and engaging characters from the talented pen of Liliana Rhodes. I just couldn't put it down!

Review: Bound for Trouble by E.M. Lynley
Bound for Trouble by E.M. Lynley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Taking romance in a completely different direction than before, E.M Lynley offers readers her first BDSM themed story. After a devastating miscalculation that cost innocent lives; Deke went from being next in line for promotion to riding a desk in the basement. Worse, not only do his superiors question his judgement, he's also begun to doubt himself.
After years of supporting himself with his body, Ryan has finally left his job as a dancer/hooker at the local gay bar and has his eyes set on college someday. The past won't let him leave it behind that easily; and when he tries to do the right thing for once, he ends up heading back to his roots.
When Deke is assigned to watch over Ryan while he works as a confidential informer for the FBI, Deke has a bad feeling about the BDSM bar where Ryan is now working. Uncomfortable and yet strangely drawn to both the sexy CI and the lifestyle, Deke must learn to trust his instincts again or risk losing Ryan, his job, and maybe even his life!
The roller coaster ride of emotions Bound for Trouble takes readers on is one you will want to ride again and again! The characters are intensely written, the story line is intricately developed and Lynley's writing made me feel like I was experiencing every action packed moment in real-time! With sexual encounters ranging from a tentative first-time spanking too hard-core BDSM, this is one story that will test readers limits while at the same time have you wanting more!
