Review: Fall Into The Sun

Fall Into the SunFall Into the Sun by Val Kovalin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A copy of Fall Into The Sun was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Because I cried like a baby when I watched Brokeback Mountain, it shouldn't have surprised me when I cried my way through Fall Into the Sun too.

This is a love story about two men who fell in love in their teens but let immaturity, family pressures, and their own insecurities drive them apart. A bit of a mini-miracle in time gives them a second chance to be together, but family is still an issue and the insecurities that kept them from achieving their happy ever after before are still lingering. Time and life lessons, as well as the heartbreak of being apart for so many years, have given them both a measure of hard earned maturity that was lacking years ago. The question becomes, will it be enough to give them the courage to reach out and grab this second chance before it's to late?

Fall Into the Sun is an amazingly well written M/M romance. The way that Kovalin weaves this story between the past and the present is a pure work of art. With a roller coaster of laughter, heartache, tears, frustration, joy, jealousy, lust and love, the depth of emotion in this story is one that only a lifetime of shared history between two people can provide. This is a must-read for anyone who is looking for a story that offers not only romance, but also a story about the strength of the human spirit, life and a love that is destined to be.
