Review: Alpha's Strength

Alpha's Strength (Fallen Alpha, #1)Alpha's Strength by Rebecca Royce
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

People have been doing what Cyrus told them to do since he was 12 years old. Groomed from an early age to be an Alpha, he challenged the former Alpha of Manhattan when he was 20 and has been running the city like a well oiled machine ever since. He is tough, tenacious, powerful and doesn't have time to seek a mate. Consumed by the modern world of business, fated mates and moon gods are nothing but fairy tales to Cyrus. Little does his pack know that his apartment is lonely, he doesn't sleep at night and behind his strong facade beats a heart that no one loves.

Betsy realised too late that she had been raised by monsters, her parents hid their evil from her as long as possible. The day they were captured by a group of purists was the day Betsy's torment began. Blackmailed into an engagement by her parent's kidnappers, she feels obligated to try to rescue them, even though it means subjecting herself to the attentions of a cruel and selfish man.

When Cyrus and Betsy first meet, sparks fly and their attraction is irresistible, but Cyrus is an Alpha whose pack is on the brink of war and Betsy, a latent wolf, believes herself to be a human with no means of escaping her future.

A fast paced and well written paranormal romance. Resisting the Alpha offers readers a well developed storyline and complex characters. An passionate and emotionally engaging roller coaster ride from start to finish!
