Caught on Camera
(Lights! Camera! Action! Part One)
by Lily Harlem
Genres: Contemporary, M/M, Erotic, Romance
Lights. Camera. Action. The life of an international porn star might be glamorous, satisfying and well paid but it’s also hard work—very hard—in every sense of the word!
So it’s just as well Reece Carter is up for the job and has the sexiest co-star imaginable, Cade Davenport. They’re the hot new stars of GP Productions latest blockbuster, Slippery Slots, set in Las Vegas, and they can’t wait to get naked and get started.
With scripts to learn, wardrobe to contend with and a whole host of new experiences to look forward to, Reece takes the bull by the horns and jumps on for the ride. What he doesn’t bargain on, though, is finding love alongside his fat pay cheque.
But is the feeling mutual? And what happens when a cowboy, a box of intriguing props and a trip to a BDSM dungeon gets thrown into the scene?
Can Reece handle the heat? Is he really capable of performing before an audience? And will Cade be there when he needs him most?
Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a serial.
Inspirational Porn by Lily Harlem
Hello, and thank you for inviting me today. My new serial, Caught on Camera, is out now and it’s all the making of gay porn movie called Slippery Slots (well, it is set in Las Vegas!). The first part is FREE so be sure to grab your copy. I’ll be honest, making a gay porn movie isn’t something I have experience with so it did require a little research on my behalf. Luckily the internet is pretty damn awesome for us writers these days and if we have a question there’ll be a selection of answers somewhere on the net.
Porn isn’t something that offends me, in fact I enjoy it if I’m in the mood and one particular day I was. While finding something to watch I came across a documentary about the making of a gay porn movie and it was that which inspired me to write Caught on Camera. Why? Well, I was intrigued as the commentator doing the documentary said he’d never seen two men fall in love on screen before and felt honoured to have witnessed it.
It seemed an odd thing to say so I watched the short movie - which hot, hot, hot – and then the outtakes. He’d been right. These men had chemistry. Yes the lines were cheesy and the close up shots didn’t leave anything to the imagination, but there was more to it. They clearly had an instant connection, at times it was almost as if intruding into their real bedroom, into their real lives.
Then there were out takes which showed the two guys still wrapped around each other when the camera stopped rolling, one a little shy as the other gazed lovingly at him. They had only met for the making of the film but were planning on dating – even though they’d done everything and more that might come after a date!
These two actors stayed in my mind for several days. I mulled over not the sex scenes I’d watched but their story. What had they felt when they’d first seen their partner for the day? Were sex scenes with someone you fancied easier or harder to act? And what happened when they were left alone? All of these questions spun around in my mind and eventually I created Reece and Cade, two British men who find themselves on film and heading off to Las Vegas. Luckily, like the two porn stars who inspired Caught on Camera, Cade and Reece are very much falling in love too.
I hope you’ll check out this new serial, the first part sets the scene for a wild, anything goes, story and then after that the sky is the limit. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – but does that apply to love too?
