Review: Taming the Alpha
Taming the Alpha by Adriana Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Nikki lives a hard life, and not entirely by choice. Her parents never cared for her as a child, focused instead on their own selfish behavior. She never finished high-school, works as a stripper, and has had a string of failed relationships. Her heart yearns to find a man who will see through the life she lives and love her for who she is on the inside.
Jax is a werewolf who is struggling to find his way. The tragic and unexpected death of his parents thrust him into the position of pack Alpha. He knows that they depend on him for stability and leadership, but the strain the changes have put on his relationship with his younger brother and lack of a mate to share his burden is starting to show.
Nikki and Jax are instantly drawn to each other. Jax heart tells him she is his mate, but she is human and is unaware of the existence of wolves. He worries that the pack won't accept her as his mate as it goes against every tradition they have long held sacred.
A rash of unexplained murders near Nikki's club put her life in danger, and Jax is willing to do anything to protect her. Even if it means running the risk of revealing his wolf side and losing the woman he loves.
A well written and emotionally engaging paranormal romance with complicated characters and a complex storyline, Taming the Alpha is a fast paced erotic romance that left me howling for more!
A copy of Taming the Alpha was received from the author in exchange for an honest review.
