Review: Seth
Seth by Eve Langlais
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A passionate adventure!
Seth is a rare breed of cyborg. Designed to blend into the human world as a spy, he was allowed to retain more of his humanity than most. At first, the relished his uniqueness, but when his wife left him it broke his heart and at times he wished that the pain of losing the only woman he ever loved could be programed away.
Anastasia never fully recovered from her husband, Seth's betrayal. Forced to seek him out to assist on a delicate covert operation she is once again face to face with the one man she was never able to fully forget. Even though she's involved with someone else now, the spark of passion Seth once ignited still burns.
When a second chance at happiness presents itself, Seth is determined to win back his wife's heart, but the determination and focus that once brought them close is now keeping them apart. As their mission uncovers previously hidden treachery they discover that the cause of their relationship's disintegration may have resulted from an even deeper betrayal, one that affected them both. As they begin questioning their own memories and attempt to separate truth from lies, the chemistry that made them an unstoppable force reignites the passions lying dormant in both their hearts.
A fast paced and well written adventure from the pen of Eve Langlais; SETH, 5th book in the Cyborgs: More Than Machines series, does contain characters from previous books but can be read as a stand alone novel without too much trouble. This passionate Sci Fi romance keep me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and left me wanting more!
A copy of SETH was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
